This September, JouleBug is taking a page from Climate Week NYC’s agenda and inspiring progress with a free, open-to-all challenge! From September 18 &#8211; 30, 2024, join us in making a tangible impact while having fun in a friendly competition. Actions in this challenge will cover:

<li style="font-weight: 400;" aria-level="1">Foundational knowledge to prep for convos happening at Climate Week NYC</li>
<li style="font-weight: 400;" aria-level="1">Understanding how local government influences your community’s climate resilience</li>
</ul>

We hope that experiencing climate resilience with a side of friendly competition will inspire more knowledge sharing, collaboration, and exploration of scalable solutions.

<h3>How to Participate in the Challenge:</h3>

<li style="font-weight: 400;" aria-level="2">Best on mobile. Follow the access code prompt to join JouleBug Nation and create your profile. </li>
</ul>

<li style="font-weight: 400;" aria-level="1">Join Challenge + Invite Friends
<ul>
<li style="font-weight: 400;" aria-level="2">Once in the app, click the shield and star icon to join the Resilience in Action Challenge. If you got this invitation from your friends, scroll down to find your team. You can also create a team and invite others or join one randomly and make new friends. Climate action is more fun with friends! </li>

<li style="font-weight: 400;" aria-level="1">Gain Knowledge + Act Out

<li style="font-weight: 400;" aria-level="2">New actions will be released on September 18, when the challenge begins. Log actions as you complete them in real life, earn points, reach goals, and compete to win the challenge with your team. </li>

<h4>FYI: Challenge Game Mechanics</h4>
Resilience in Action Challenge is a <a href="https://help.joulebug.com/en/articles/7198791-team-based-challenges">team-based</a>, <a href="https://help.joulebug.com/en/articles/9820600-challenge-types-explained">goals-based</a> competition in which teams of 3-12 people compete to reach multiple goals throughout the challenge. Unlike our past public challenges, this one requires people to work together to reach goals throughout the competition.
